There is a silver lining in every cloud, or so they say. Sometimes it can be difficult to see where that lining may be hiding. It is there, somewhere.
Some regions of the country are experiencing a drop in salary levels. The original data from Forbes.com has been digested and summarized in this article on Yahoo Finance. For my friends in Rochester, NY...we ranked #1 in the country with a decrease in wages from 2008-2009 of -2.3%. So that's the bad news.
Let's take a look at the good news. Out of a recession comes new industries, new business, new jobs. Right? There are opportunities. Consider the super-fast growth within today's digital landscape and the emerging threats that exist in a world where information is instantly accessible. This is real. In 2008 approximately 10 million people fell victim to identity theft fraud.
